Where the hell are my events?

Wasted 2 hours trying to find all of my events. I didnt change any settings, the auto update just wiped out every appointment Ive entered by hand. I can see stupid Facebook events, but Id rather know when my sons basketball game is. Ive tried everything I can think of to get them back (and researched a dozen things others have tried with no success), and refills "help" site wont even allow me to send an inquiry. Very upsetting.
